This project offers a unique opportunity to not only have a great learning experience, but to make a difference in the lives of others. Our focus lies on inclusion (helping everyone feel part of the community) and sustainability (caring for the environment). You will be part of a team that consists of youthworkers, volunteers, and Salesians of Don Bosco. Together with one other short-term volunteer your main tasks will be supporting a local Youth Center with their activities. Aside from that, you will help with ecological maintenaince, clean accomodations, and assist with international Erasmus+ projects. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

You will be living on the Veluwe surrounded by green forests, fresh air, and natural beauty. Accomodation will be provided for you in Assel. You will share a room with another short-term volunteer. The bathroom, kitchen, and living room will be additionally shared with two other volunteers. Some lunches and dinners will be organized with the local community. For other meals volunteers are free to cook in their own kitchen. Several bicycles are available, as well as a car belonging to the association. Having a drivers licence is preferred as Assel is not easily accessible by public transport.

Training during the activity

During your stay you will work closely with youth workers and help them organize activities by and for young people. Furthermore, you will participate in, and help plan international youth exchanges, trainings, and cultural events. Here you will gain experience in working with young people from different backgrounds, especially those facing challenges. Additionally, you will also assist our hospitality manager with day-to-day operations of running a group accomodation.
