Let's build together! in le REV
SOLIDARITES JEUNESSES MCP
SOLIDARITES JEUNESSES RESEAU D'ENTRAIDE VOLONTAIRE
PONT DE MONTVERT - SUD MONT LOZERE, France
Description
Le REV is the regional delegation of Solidarités Jeunesses in Lozère, France. The organisation is located in a big building in the middle of the mountains and forest (search for "Eagle's Nest" in Finiels, on Google Maps). The main goal of le REV is to meet one another, to create a constructive dynamic as well as to break stereotypes and stigmas by working together and living collectively. Each summer, le REV hosts workcamps, which are group projects of 2-3 weeks, gathering 10 to 20 participants from all around the work. During your volunteering you'll take part in the organisation of the workcamps, through the following tasks: - Creating a positive group dynamic with the participants (through "get-to-know-each-other" activities) - Accompagnying the collective life of the group (sharing daily tasks, the menus, extra activities outside of the workcamp) - Creating a link with the local population through shared dinner or activities.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You will be accomodated in a shared house with the other volunteers. You may be in tents during some workcamps. Showers and toilets are shared. You will have access to a washing machine once a week. Wifi is only available at the house. Meals are prepared by the participants, in turn, by setting up kitchen teams. Bring your best recipes with you! You'll have two meat meals a week, as we are committed to reduce our carbon footprints and prioritize reducing meat consumption.
Training during the activity
You will have the opportunity to: - Attend facilitator trainings throughout your project to discover workcamps and group leading - Participate in one training course of your choice provided by Solidarités Jeunesses - Spend one week in another delegation of Solidarités Jeunesses to meet other volunteers and discover a different way of working (if possible with the agenda of your volunteering)
Participant profile
Open to everybody coming from the EU or an ESC partner country, aged between 18 to 30 years old. Driving licence B (and experience with manual cars!) are recommended to be more autonomous (there are no public transportations!)
