Description

We are looking for a person with interest and motivation to join our international team of CGE e.V. in Erfurt, Germany. Become a bridge between Europe and local community - support project managers and gain professional skills, prepare and organise events and activities locally, help with building a diverse community of youth and young adults in Erfurt! 🤩 Key responsibilities: 1_) Support project managers in the planning and implementation of international projects ; 2_) Help out with project documentation, research, reimbursements, dissemination tasks, etc. 3_) Coordinate and implement community events and activities linked to projects in their local implementation phases; 4_) Connect with relevant communities, actively creating links and personally embedding yourself in various community groups.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

All volunteers in CGE are accommodated in a comfortable, fully equipped shared flat, located 5 min away from the city center. Each volunteers has own room. The food allowance and pocket money are given to the volunteers at the beginning of every month, based on the Erasmus+ regulations. Each volunteer is provided with a monthly ticket to travel around the city.

Training during the activity

CGE Erfurt e.V. is a non-profit NGO running numerous large-scale international projects across Europe and globally. We collaborate with local activists, migrant communities, NGOs, and informal groups. Situated in the northern part of Erfurt, our office resides within a revitalized socio-cultural hub that hosts artists and various initiatives. Through internal workshops and capacity building sessions you will dive into the project topics. You will receive non‑formal training and mentorship from ex-ESC volunteers. Additionally, networking across diverse initiatives will be supported.

Participant profile

We are looking forward to the potential candidates with: 🖥️ A strong interest and motivation to develop skills in project management and coordination within the NGO sector. 👀 Good organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage tasks and deadlines effectively. 🗣 Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust and connections effectively. 🎤 Comfortable representing the organisation publicly in diverse intercultural contexts. 📲 Experienced in using online community platforms, networking tools, and digital communications. 💬 Fluency in English (spoken & written); additional languages (e.g. Kyrgyz, Uzbek or Russian languages because of our involvement in Central Asia region) are an asset. This opportunity is designed for young professionals to collect work experiences by supporting project managers in CGE, and building solidarity at the local, EU and global level.
