!Please send us your portfolio! SIW International Volunteering is looking for a creative, motivated volunteer to join our marketing&communications team for a 1-year ESC project. This is a great chance to gain hands-on experience in marketing, communications while supporting meaningful global initiatives. SIW is a volunteer-run exchange organization offering international volunteer placements. As an ESC volunteer, you'll do: - Content creation: Create videos, photos, and graphics from brainstorming ideas and writing scripts to recording and editing (i.e. CapCut, Canva); - Social media & trends: Keep up with trends and adapt our communication to SIW’s style; - Website: keep the website up-to-date by uploading new stories or job vacancies when needed; - Email marketing: writing engaging emails and learn to use email marketing tools; - Events: Help organize infosessions and events to share the volunteer experience; - Create and nurture a Whatsapp community group;
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Our office is in the heart of Utrecht, a vibrant historic university city in the centre of the Netherlands. Your apartment with a private furnished bedroom and shared kitchen/living area with 1 roommate is above the office. The trainstation and restaurants, bars and shops are all within walking distance. We also have a bicycle for you so you can move around like a real Dutchie. Of course you will receive monthly pocket money and food money. Travel costs are reimbursed for the trip from home to the project and back, based on distance. We encourage you to travel green and come by train or bus.
Training during the activity
Half a working day a week (4hrs) is dedicated to your self-development. You will be self-directing this: figure out what you want to learn and how you're gonna reach that goal. To reflect on your progress, tasks and personal goals you will have meetings with your mentor and the ESC coordinator. You will attend the on-arrival and mid-term training organised by the National Agency and meet volunteers of other ESC projects within the Netherlands. SIW will offer you different assignments and training opportunities and you will be able to learn Dutch.
Participant profile
We're looking for: 1. A passionate, social person who loves connecting with others and exploring new cultures. 2. Someone with a background in or a knack for marketing (think proven experience in data analysis, CRM systems or e-mailmarketing), you’re all about strong communication and teamwork! 3. you're independent but flexible, always ready to take on new challenges and learn on the go. 4. it is important that you are independent on a personal level as well as in your work and that you are not afraid to go and create a social life for yourself outside of the office. 5. you’re curious about the Dutch language and culture and don’t mind diving into a fast-paced, ever-changing environment like an NGO. 6. Experience with Meta ads or reading metrics is a plus. ! Selected participants will be invited to join an infomeeting on Wednesday 18 March at 14.00, so you can determine if it's the right project for you. Participation in this meeting is mandatory for continuation of the selection process. !! Please send your portfolio along with your CV !!
