Working together through solidarity immersion
Association Peupl'en Harmonie
CAYENNE, France
Description
Peupl’en Harmonie is looking to welcome a European volunteer as part of a solidarity trip. This trip is an immersion programme that allows young volunteers to enjoy a collective and committed experience serving a region and its inhabitants. Over several days, participants get involved in solidarity initiatives, environmental awareness and community life, while discovering a new culture and strengthening their capacity for action.
The volunteer will support the team in the logistical organisation of the trip, help supervise the young people and contribute to the running of certain activities.
This volunteering opportunity will also be a chance to discover French Guiana, located in the heart of the Amazon, and to enjoy an immersive experience in contact with nature and local cultures.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation: Volunteers will be welcomed by a host family and will have their own room. The accommodation is located 5 minutes' walk from the association. In addition, during their stay, volunteers will be required to sleep in hammocks.
Meals: Volunteers will receive money to buy their own food and will be self-sufficient. During their stay, meals will be provided.
