TWO MONTHS PROJECT : Join the team of the local antenna of Solidarités Jeunesses in Alsace ! You will live in the hosting center where the international workcamps take place, in the heart of the action ! As a volunteer, you will be actively involved in the collective and daily life of the house: logistical support for group arrivals and departures, accompanying groups in discovering and understanding the rules of the house, collective life, and organization, logistical support for organizing meals and food stocks, etc. You will also participate in various activities organized as part of the workcamps: international meals, excursions, barbecue evenings, etc. It is preferable to have a driving license. If you enjoy living and organizing yourself in a collective, intercultural encounters, and want to spend a summer working on international projects, this project is for you!
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You will be hosted in the Louise Scheppler House, in the village of Fouday. You will sleep in dormitories of 4 people. This project is about living together : all the meals will be cook and eat with the groups and the team living in the house, and provided by the organisation. Cars and a minivan are available for collective excursions or for shopping for the groups. Fouday is a village of 350 inhabitants, 50km west of Strasbourg. There is a train station in the village (10min by foot from the house), and you can enjoy the landscapes of the Vosges all around !
Training during the activity
As a volunteer, you will have the ability to develop some skills about collective organisation and group organisation.
Participant profile
Participant should be available for two months, be motivated to live in a collective setting with several groups hosted during the project. No competences are needed, only your motivation to join the project and to help to organise the collective life. Due to the isolated location of the place, the driving license is a big plus !
