Description

This short-term volunteering project takes place in a Youth Centre in Bucharest and brings together international volunteers who work together to empower young people from the local community. The project focuses on supporting youth participation, promoting human rights awareness, and encouraging active citizenship through non-formal education activities. Volunteers are involved in organizing and facilitating workshops, youth events, and community activities, while also supporting the logistical preparation of events and contributing to media and promotion efforts. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

We've got your accommodation covered! You'll be staying in a cozy apartment for the entire project. The apartment comes with shared bedrooms (2 beds per room - same - gender room), a shared kitchen and bathroom, a chill common area, and with a high-speed internet connection. You'll be in charge of your own meals, but don't worry – there's a kitchen equipped for you to use, and you'll get a daily food allowance of 5 EUR. Plus, you'll receive some pocket money too, 4 EUR per day (which will be given to you in Romanian currency via bank transfer).

Training during the activity

Get ready for an exciting journey! Here’s what you can look forward to: 1. In-House On-Board Training: We’ve got a fantastic series of trainings lined up just for you on topics such as (but not limited to): Non-Formal Education, Facilitation Techniques, Human Rights Education, Safeguarding. 2. Ongoing Workshops: to deepen your knowledge and skills in the main activity areas. 3. Romanian Language Class to connect with the local community.

Participant profile

We’re searching for young people aged 18–30 who are curious, creative, and ready to learn! You might be someone who: 💻 has basic Canva or design skills 📝 loves writing or storytelling 🌐 knows a bit about websites or digital tools 🔍 enjoys researching and exploring new ideas 🤝 likes working in a team and sharing opinions Don’t worry, you don’t need to know everything! We’re building a diverse team where everyone brings something different: ideas, energy, or new perspectives.
