ESC: Paint the Kids' World - Mural & Renovation in Kielce!

Description

We are looking for 8 creative individuals to leave a lasting artistic mark at the Oratorium in Kielce. From April 23rd, you will spend 40 days combining your passion for art with team-based youth work. Your Special Tasks: Artistic Revolution: You will design and paint an original mural on the building wall or fence and revitalize the playground, creating a colorful and safe space for the children. The Grand Finale: The project culminates in a Multicultural Children’s Day Festival. This is when you will officially unveil the mural and playground while running stalls showcasing your home country’s culture and cuisine. Daily Support (Working Hours: 1-7 pm): As a volunteer, you will be at the heart of the youth center's daily life: Animation & Passions: You will lead workshops (sports, music, arts) based on your talents and organize engaging games for the kids. A Helping Hand: You will support the children in their daily activities and provide minor educational help

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers live in 3–4 person flats with private rooms and shared kitchen, bathroom, and living space. Flats are near the city center or well connected. We cover: ✔️ €6/day pocket money ✔️ €3.28/day food allowance ✔️ Full accommodation ✔️ Free public transport ✔️ Travel costs (ESC distance band) ✔️ Henner insurance

Training during the activity

- Co-creation & DIY: A space for peer-to-peer learning. Together with the team and practitioners, you’ll develop the mural project and renovation techniques, sharing artistic and manual skills. - Youth Work in Action: Hands-on experience in a vibrant center. By collaborating with fellow volunteers, you’ll create your own animation methods and original games for kids. - Team Event Management: Joint festival planning. You’ll learn logistics and international teamwork, having a real say in the final shape of the event.

Participant profile

- No specific prior knowledge, skills, or experience is required as the necessary ones can be acquired during the project. - Able to work in a multicultural environment. - Flexible and creative, like very creative! - Open-minded with a positive attitude. - Motivated to promote solidarity. - Communicative and sociable. P.s. Participants are accepted regardless of gender, beliefs, preferences, and level of education. However, the volunteer must be able to stay the full duration of the project!
