Description

The volunteer will contribute to the activities of the APJC in the fields of 'Youth & Citizenship', 'Leisure and Culture', and 'Social Action'. The main task will be to participate in socio-cultural animation missions, youth animation, and the promotion of volunteering initiatives. In all areas, the volunteer can bring an intercultural dimension and an openness to major European issues, to awaken residents and members to the embrace of other cultures. Among the missions: • participation in the animation of social activities for children, teenagers, and young adults, supporting them in their projects and initiatives • participation in the organization of socio-cultural events • participation in the daily life of the association, in collective projects • participation in enhancing the living space, in facilitating spaces for meeting and socializing • participation in actions promoting mobility programs. The volunteer will also have the opportunity to propose their own ideas.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The hosted Volunteers are accommodated collectively in a shared house, comprising 5 individual bedrooms and shared spaces (living room, kitchen, bathroom, terrace, garden). The house is located a 10-minute walk from the activity location, and 45 minutes from the center of Paris by public transport. For meals, the Volunteers receive a monthly allowance, and can heat their meals or cook at the activity location.

Training during the activity

Tutors support the volunteers in their progress and in their learning. French courses are scheduled in the volunteers' timetable, in the same place as the activity (three levels possible).
