Women digital and financial inclusion advisor in Ghana
NGO MONDO
GHANA DEVELOPING COMMUNITIES ASSOCIATION LBG
TAMALE, Ghana
Description
As a Women Digital and Financial Inclusion Advisor, you will be at the heart of empowering women’s groups by enhancing their digital skills and financial literacy. Working hand in hand with local communities, you will identify practical digital tools, train women to use them effectively, and open doors to financial services that can transform their lives. Your role includes supporting women’s groups to adopt digital platforms for smooth group operations and data-driven decisions, helping them build financial records to access credit, and advocating for marginalized groups to gain greater inclusion. You will also monitor and evaluate the project’s impact, collect and analyze data, and deliver trainings aimed at sustaining digital and financial inclusion over time.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
GDCA provides comfortable accommodation close to the office in a furnished one- or two-bedroom flat, equipped with essential utilities like water, electricity, internet, and satellite TV. You’ll have access to a kitchen to prepare your meals, or you may choose to dine at local restaurants or food vendors (with some caution). Transportation for official duties is covered, while personal travel costs are your responsibility. Local taxis and tricycles are commonly used, and international volunteers may drive with an international driver’s license.
Training during the activity
As part of the BRIDGE Project (Building Resilience, Innovation, Development, and Gender Equality), volunteers will work toward empowering vulnerable communities, especially women. Training includes skills development workshops, digital literacy enhancement, participation in UN Women Summits, and facilitating digital training sessions. Volunteers will gain hands-on experience in capacity building, stakeholder engagement, and social impact-driven project execution while refining leadership and communication skills.
Participant profile
We seek passionate individuals eager to advance women’s empowerment through digital and financial inclusion. Ideal candidates have a background in social sciences, business, or related fields, along with experience in training, facilitation, or digital literacy programs. Strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to collaborate with diverse communities are essential. Familiarity with digital tools and financial inclusion initiatives is a plus, but above all, a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
