Support Youth Empowerment in Aruba – Join Us as a Long-Term Volunteer!

Stichting Popcorn

Oranjestad, Aruba

Description

Popcorn Club Aruba is a non-profit youth organisation empowering young people through arts, culture, and community engagement since 1989.
Through this ESC project, volunteers join a dynamic and creative environment, contributing to youth development, cultural exchange, and social inclusion. Volunteers actively support workshops, performances, events, and community initiatives while collaborating with local youth, artists, and international participants.
This is a hands-on experience where volunteers are encouraged to take initiative, share ideas, and co-create meaningful activities.
Main Activities
Volunteers may:
Support and participate in arts workshops (dance, music, theatre, fashion, visual arts)
Assist in organising cultural events and performances
Work with local youth, including those with fewer opportunities
Contribute to project planning, implementation, and evaluation
Support daily organisational tasks
Initiate activities based on their own skills and interests

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will live in a shared house together with other international participants, creating a multicultural and collaborative environment. Long-term ESC volunteers will be accommodated either in a private room or in a shared room with one other participant.
Each volunteer will receive a monthly food allowance to cover groceries and basic household necessities. In addition, a shared car and bicycles will be available for volunteers to use, making it easier to commute and explore the local area.
