Institute of Support and Studies on Entrepreneur hip, Social Development and Cohesion Cube Non-Profit Organisation

Thessaloniki, Greece

Description

This 2-week ESC volunteering team activity in Greece brings together 12 young people to explore sustainability and inclusion through creative, hands-on practices. Participants will engage in innovative crafting workshops using recycled and eco-friendly materials, promoting conscious consumption and environmental awareness. Through collaborative creation, non-formal learning, and intercultural exchange, the project fosters teamwork, empathy, and active participation. Volunteers will co-create artistic outputs and community-oriented initiatives that reflect shared values of inclusion, creativity, and sustainability. The activity aims to empower young people to become more socially and environmentally responsible while strengthening their sense of initiative and community engagement.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation, food, and transport are covered by the programme. Participants will stay in 2–3 shared houses (3 rooms each),with room arrangements based on their preferences (e.g. same gender). Participants will receive a daily subsistence allowance via bank transfer to cover food expenses and extra 7EUR per day as pocket money. Travel to Thessaloniki (e.g., flights) is initially covered by participants and reimbursed by CUBE after the activity upon submission of all required documents. Local transport (bus/metro cards) will be provided for travel to and from CUBE’s office.

Training during the activity

Participants will receive ongoing training through non-formal education methods, including workshops, group activities, and hands-on learning. The training will focus on sustainability, inclusion, creative practices, teamwork, and intercultural learning. Participants will also develop practical skills in crafting with eco-friendly materials, communication, and collaboration, while being supported by facilitators throughout the activity.
