**please APPLY HERE: https://forms.gle/cx6q94jC8UYWM9CG9** Are you creative, interested in social media, youth work and intercultural exchange? Join Jugendwerk as an ESC volunteer. You will be part of a young and international team and actively shape projects for and with young people. A main focus of your activities will be communication and social media. You will help manage our Instagram account, create content for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, design flyers and posters, and film and edit videos and reels from events, summer camps and youth exchanges. You will also support and co‑organise open youth work projects such as intercultural events and language exchange formats for young people aged 16–27. In addition, you will contribute to developing new event ideas, support daily office and youth work tasks, help organise materials for camps and seminars, and have the opportunity to develop your own project based on your interests.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Jugendwerk provides free accommodation in a shared flat close to the workplace and well connected to public transport. You will have your own furnished room, while the kitchen and bathroom are shared with your flatmates, two lovely girls. You will receive pocket money and a food allowance according to ESC rules, amounting to 555.00 euros per full month. In addition, we cover the cost of the Deutschlandticket, allowing you to use public transport throughout Germany. You also have the possibility to use one of Jugendwerks bikes.

Training during the activity

We will provide a German language course depending on your level to support your integration and everyday life. Throughout the project, you will receive mentoring and guidance from the coordinator in Jugendwerk and an additional external mentor. The project offers many learning opportunities through project-oriented work, allowing you to gain experience in planning, implementing and evaluating activities. Depending on your interests, you will gain insight into different areas at Jugendwerk, including public relations, fundraising, administration, education and project management.

Participant profile

This project is open to young people with a passion for social media, communication and youth work. We are looking a for motivated, open-minded and reliable volunteer who enjoys working in an international environment and in a team. You should be willing to take responsibility, work independently and actively contribute your own ideas. English skills are required, basic German skills are a bonus.
No specific qualifications are required; motivation, curiosity and interest in learning are the most important.
