Creative workshops for seniors in Social Welfare Home in Gdynia

Dom Pomocy Spolecznej w Gdyni

Gdynia, Poland

Description

Social Welfare Home in Gdynia is a residential care home for elderly people who need daily support. Some residents may have difficulties with moving around, taking care of their health, or managing everyday tasks, so they are supported by professional staff. The home is located in a cosy and green area, close to a forest, and has its own garden. It is home to 79 residents who form a small community. For them, it is important not only to receive care, but also to have social contact, stay active, and feel included. The centre offers different activities that help residents maintain their physical and mental wellbeing. These include rehabilitation, therapeutic activities, Senior Club meetings, and various social and cultural events. As a volunteer, you will mainly support occupational therapy activities. This type of therapy helps residents stay active, develop their interests, and enjoy their time. You will also help organise holidays and special events.
