Ready to Act: Volunteering at the School and Pre-School Complex no 11 in Krakow

Description
We are looking for 2 volunteers ready to work in the primary school in Krakow. Their task will be to organise language contests for student, working with students with fewer opportunities, preparing workshops based on the culture and traditions of their countries, assisting during the trips and school events, preparing deccorations for the school events together with students. Volunteers will work 6 hours per day in the school. They will have their own place to prepare materials for the planned activities. Additionally volunteers will join activities provided by IB Polska for all ESC volunteers at least once per month. There are also oblugatory trainings provided by the Polish National Agency.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteer will be placed in the flat that IB Polska rent for volunteers in different parts of the city of Krakow. Rooms are mainly double, so volunteers need to be ready to share the space with other person. Each flat has the common kitchen and bathroom. All of them are located in the nice neighbourhood, with geen areas and small shops around. We place volunteers in the flats which are the closest to the working place. Volunteers get pocket money (6€ per day) and food allowance every month to the bank account. Travel costs are reimbursed accordingly to the travel costs given by EU.
Training during the activity
Volunteer will participate in the preparation meeting organised by the Sending Organisation from the volunteer’s country of origin. After coming to Krakow, the Hosting Organisation will provide volunteer with the internal training based on the rules in the project, office and Krakow. Every month volunteer will participate in the meeting for all ESC volunteers and individual meetings. Volunteer will participated in on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation meeting organised by the Polish National Agency.
Participant profile
We are searching for the person between 18 and 30 years old. Sex, nationality, religion and gender doesn’t matter. The most valuable are: openess to experience new cultures and to learn new things, readinees to share the culture and traditon of the volunteer’s country, creativity, sharing and developing own ideas.
