MISSION LOCALE PAYS DE FOUGERES

Description

The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteer assists a project manager with initiatives related to international mobility, vacations, sports, culture, and citizenship. They help welcome and provide individual support to young people, sharing their own experiences to inform and motivate them to go abroad. They contribute to organizing trips in France and across Europe (planning, leading activities, and evaluation) as well as group workshops (on mobility, citizenship, and language). Through progressive training, they progress from observation to co-facilitation and then to greater autonomy. They take part in group activities (English conversation cafés, events, exhibitions) and assist with administrative or translation tasks. They also support young people with their vacation plans and participate in programs promoting access to sports, culture, and civic engagement, while developing their personal and professional skills.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will live in a studio apartment at the FJT, rented by the FDMJC22. The volunteer will have a private room. The FDMJC22, the coordinating organization, will pay monthly allowances for pocket money, food, and leisure activities. The volunteer will receive a bus pass for transportation, a youth train pass from the SNCF, and may have access to an electric bicycle if they wish.

Training during the activity

The volunteer will have access to the training they need during their volunteer placement. They will participate in the orientation and mid-term seminars. They will also take part in the group project with all European Solidarity Corps volunteers in the Côtes d'Armor region, organized by FDMJC22 in partnership with the Ligue de l'Enseignement, the City of Lannion, and Cap à Cité.
