Description
The Communication, Social Media & Fundraising Officer will strengthen the visibility and financial sustainability of civil society organizations supporting IDP communities. The role combines strategic content creation, social media management, and fundraising initiatives to amplify the voices of displaced populations and secure support for ongoing programs. // RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement communication strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals; Manage social media platforms to grow audience engagement and reach; Create compelling content highlighting the organization's work and the needs of IDP communities; Organize and promote fundraising campaigns and explore alternative funding sources; Expand digital outreach tools such as newsletters and press materials; Monitor and report on performance metrics to inform ongoing strategy.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteer will be accommodated in a house located in the Tserovani settlement, within walking distance of the office. Depending on deployment overlap, the volunteer may share the house with one other volunteer, but will have their own lockable room. Markets for basic daily needs are available nearby. Tbilisi can be reached within approximately 30 minutes when needed.
Training during the activity
Upon arrival, the volunteer will receive a comprehensive induction training to familiarise them with the organization, its work, and the local context. Throughout the assignment, the volunteer will be supported in participating in relevant capacity building activities and field visits, providing practical insight into the communities and populations the organization serves.
Participant profile
THIS IS 9-MONTH LONG DEPLOYMENT. POSITION NOT SUITABLE FOR CANDIDATES WITH PREVIOUS ESC/EVS/EU VOLUNTEERING EXPERIENCE EXCEEDING 3 MONTHS. We are looking for a creative and strategically minded individual with a background or strong interest in communications, digital marketing, fundraising, or a related field. The ideal candidate is proactive, digitally fluent, and passionate about using communication tools to drive social impact and support vulnerable communities. Experience in social media management, content creation, or fundraising campaign development is an advantage. The volunteer should be comfortable working independently, engaging diverse audiences, and adapting messaging across multiple platforms in a cross-cultural environment.
