The power of together

Music, events, community building & creativity at Gimle's cafe

FONDEN GIMLE

Roskilde, Denmark

Description

Gimle is a regional music venue, student house and youth culture café. Gimle offers Roskilde and the region's residents a wide range of cultural events with quality, content and diversity. At Gimle, the volunteers run the arrangements - both before, during and after the events. The focal point of the project is to run Gimle's cultural café, The Raven, together with the other volunteers and staff - this includes bartending, event management and catering for bands, volunteers and customers. The café is open 5 days a week and is a popular gathering place for volunteers and the local community. In the café you can arrange everything from concerts to international evenings or a food event. There are opportunities to fill in with your own creative abilities and ideas, and thereby discover what you are really passionate about. The volunteers are encouraged to create a personal project in order to put a "foot print" at Gimle. This project can include cultural events, concerts, decorations etc
