Description

At the Agrupamento de Escolas Terras do Ave school, volunteers will support the school during the summer break in preparing for the new academic year. In addition to activities such as garden maintenance, minor repairs, and landscape improvement, they will also carry out amateur-level artistic activities introducing Turkish culture.

Volunteers will also support community service activities taking place on specific days of the week at the association with which the school is partnered. Volunteers are also expected to regularly take photos and videos as part of the project activities and share them with the sending organization.

The guesthouse where accommodation is provided is located approximately 15 minutes away from the school by bus. Volunteers will be accommodated in separate three-person rooms for male and female participants. The guesthouse is equipped with a fully functional kitchen. Accommodation is provided free of charge. In addition, volunteers will receive a daily allowance of 6 EUR for food and 6 EUR as pocket money, totaling 12 EUR per day. Volunteers will also be provided with a free bus card to travel between the accommodation and the school.
