Description
An 8 week (Short Term) Volunteering programme with Tullamore Youth Project, to enable volunteers to develop skills working with young people in a large youth project in Midlands Ireland. The project will support the volunteer to develop skills in Teamwork, project management, event planning, youth work and community work.
Activities will be focused on an inclusive learning environment over the Summer Programme period.
Activities will include; Cooking, Art, Digital / STEM activities, Sports, Outdoor pursuits, Day Trips and general project activities
All staff and volunteers contribute the the upkeep of the project alongside the young people.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
This programme is for a local volunteer who lives close to the project / has own accomodation.
The volunteer will be welcome to eat with the young people as per programme scheduled meals / snacks
A Pocket Money and Food Allowance will be issued to all volunteers
Support for access to the project will also be provided
A bike is available and local public transport serves the local Tullamore community.

Participant profile
We are looking for a kind and caring person to volunteer alongside our youth work team in the Tullamore area in Tullamore Youth Project. No set experience required, but an interest in computers, or Art, or Video Games, or STEM activities, or Sports, or Movies or Animé, or Photography or any other superpower you can bring to the project would be great.
All volunteers will be required to undergo Garda Vetting (Police Clearance) and must have a valid form of Identification and proof of address.
