Description
Ķekava Youth Center “Jaunu ideju centrs” is an open, creative and non‑formal learning space for young people in the Ķekava region, next to Riga. It provides daily activities, workshops, events and opportunities for young people to develop their skills, express themselves and participate in community life. Volunteers together with youth workers will plan, organise and lead non‑formal educational activities like cultural evenings, creative workshops, board games and activities promoting EU values for young people aged 12–25 in Ķekava county while helping to maintain a positive and inclusive environment. Volunteers will also collaborate with local youth to create social media content that highlights upcoming activities and strengthens communication. The working language will be English. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will be accommodated in an apartment with two floors together with other 6 volunteers from the project and will have a separate room. The rooms have furniture, pillows and blankets, linen. The house has a common area, kitchen fully equipped with necessary things, WiFi, washing machine, a toilet and shower in each floor. The house is in a safe area, 25 min to city centre by public transport (trolley stop nearby, tram - 7 min walk), food store just around the corner. You will receive pocket and food money, public transport monthly ticket.

Participant profile
The project seeks two motivated volunteers who enjoy planning activities, sharing their culture, creating social media content and collaborating with youth workers. It is ideal for creative, self‑driven young people who want hands-on experience in youth work and the freedom to develop their own initiatives.
