Long-term ESC volunteering at Fryshuset Stockholm Restaurang & Café
Stiftelsen Fryshuset
Stockholm, Sweden
Description
As an ESC volunteer at Fryshuset Stockholm Restaurang & Café, you will support the daily operations of the café and restaurant while gaining valuable experience in hospitality, customer service, teamwork, and event support. Tasks may include helping prepare and serve food and beverages, assisting with catering and internal orders, maintaining clean and welcoming spaces, supporting stock management, and contributing to the smooth running of the café throughout the day.
Beyond the café, you will be part of Fryshuset’s international volunteer community. You will help organize and facilitate cooking and art workshops, promote mobility opportunities for young people, and support communication activities, including social media content creation, depending on your interests. This placement offers a dynamic environment where volunteers can develop practical skills, creativity, intercultural competence, and confidence while contributing to a vibrant youth organization.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Participation in the project is fully covered by the European Solidarity Corps programme. Volunteers receive 4500 SEK per month as pocket and food money, as well as an SL public transport travel card. A private room in a shared accommodation is provided for participants coming from outside the city of activity. In case the participant already lives in Stockholm, financial compensation for accommodation is provided instead.
Training during the activity
On-arrival and Mid-term mandatory trainings will be organized by the National Agency.
