Short-Term ESC Volunteering Opportunities in Germany

Description
Gazi University is looking for motivated young people to participate in short-term European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering activities hosted by partner organisations in Hagen (Germany). Volunteers will contribute to activities related to youth participation, social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, education, community engagement, environmental awareness and support for local initiatives. Participants will have the opportunity to develop personal and professional competences, gain international experience, improve language and intercultural skills, and contribute to local communities. Applications must be submitted through the European Youth Portal using the applicant's ESC profile and CV generated on the platform. Priority will be given to current students and graduates of Gazi University and Gazi Eurodesk Team members. Only applications submitted through the European Youth Portal will be considered.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation, local transportation and food arrangements will be provided according to the conditions established by the host organisations and the European Solidarity Corps Programme. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to ESC distance band rules. Volunteers will also receive insurance coverage and pocket money in line with programme regulations.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will participate in pre-departure preparation organised by Gazi University and receive on-arrival support from the host organisations. Participants will have access to mentoring, language support, intercultural learning activities and ESC training sessions throughout the volunteering period. Youthpass certification will be provided at the end of the activity.
Participant profile
We are looking for young people aged 18-30 who are motivated to participate in international volunteering activities, open to intercultural learning, willing to work in diverse teams and interested in contributing to local communities. Previous volunteering experience is welcome but not required. Applicants must have an active profile on the European Youth Portal and apply using their ESC CV. Priority will be given to students and graduates of Gazi University.
