Description
We are looking for a volunteer to join QR52 youth center in Milan, where local teenagers (13–18 years old) gather after school to socialize, learn, and grow in a safe and welcoming environment. As a volunteer, you’ll support and inspire young people through a variety of engaging activities: help teens with their homework and study support; assist in creative workshops on topics like citizenship, music, and art; help educators organize sports and recreational activities; propose and develop new ideas to involve the local community; share your ESC experience and promote European opportunities; accompany groups on summer camps, trips, and holidays.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You will share a simple flat in Milan, with DOUBLE rooms (you will share room with another person of the same gender), bathrooms, and an eat-in kitchen. You will receive pocket money of 6 euros per day. You will have 160€ for food per month. You will receive a monthly subscription to public transport to commute to the location of the activities. The travel expenses will be refunded on the basis defined by the European Commission.
Training during the activity
Volunteer will participate in various training related to ESC.
Participant profile
Ready to work with teenagers, young people. Has a great love to socialization, communication, can easily bond with young people and give them support. Ready to play sports and do workouts, in any weather conditions; willing to do arts and play games; willing to collaborate and work in a team. Patient and creative; communicative and open-minded; positive and proactive; adaptable; able to cooperate with educators; willing to plan, organise and manage activities.
