Description

Supporting environmental protection and nature conservation actions. Assisting with the maintenance and improvement of community spaces. Contributing to local sustainability initiatives, including recycling, waste reduction, and awareness campaigns. Organizing educational workshops and interactive activities for children, young people, and local residents. Promoting biodiversity and environmentally responsible lifestyles.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation: volunteers will stay in a hotel in Pécs, the cost of which is supported by the European Solidarity Corps. Travel: volunteers’ travel costs are supported 100% by the European Solidarity Corps. The travel costs will be reimbursed to the volunteers upon arrival. In addition, volunteers will receive a county bus pass as part of the support. Food and pocket money: volunteers’ food and pocket money are supported by the European Solidarity Corps.

Participant profile

We are looking for motivated young people aged 18–30 who are interested in sustainability, environmental protection, rural development, and community engagement. Participants should be enthusiastic about working in an international team, open to learning through practical experience, and willing to contribute to the life of a small rural community. The ideal participant: Has an interest in ecology, sustainability, biodiversity, climate action, recycling, circular economy, or environmental education. Enjoys outdoor activities and is comfortable participating in practical tasks in a village environment. Is curious about rural lifestyles, local traditions, and community-based initiatives. Is willing to cooperate with people from different cultural backgrounds and contribute to a positive group atmosphere. Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and a readiness to learn new skills. Is interested in non-formal learning methods and personal development.
