We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic young person who enjoys cooking, teamwork, and bringing people together through food. As a volunteer in the EDUQ Kitchen, you will support the kitchen team in preparing meals, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
The kitchen is not only a place where meals are prepared, but also a space where people connect, learn from each other, and discover new cultures through food.
Tasks of the volunteer:
1. Support the kitchen team in preparing daily meals;
2. Assist with basic food preparation, serving meals, and organizing kitchen supplies;
3. Help maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas;
4. Participate in planning and organizing culinary workshops and community cooking events;
5. Share traditional recipes, cooking techniques, and food traditions from your culture;
6. Help document activities through photos, videos.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

-This project is part of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme, which covers: -Accommodation: Provided in Lębork; -Food: Monthly allowance for meals; -Pocket money: Provided according to ESC rules; -Health insurance: Full coverage through Henner; -Local transportation: Covered for project-related activities.

Training during the activity

After your arrival, you will take part in an onboarding training at the EDUQ Association to help you get to know our team, your tasks, and the local community.
You will also participate in two national trainings organized by the Polish National Agency:
A week-long On-Arrival Training in Warsaw
A week-long Mid-Term Training in Toruń
These trainings will help you connect with other ESC volunteers, learn more about the European Solidarity Corps, and develop your skills for the volunteering experience in Poland.

Participant profile

We are looking for a responsible, open-minded, and enthusiastic young person who enjoys cooking and working with people from different backgrounds. The ideal volunteer is willing to learn, contribute to a team, and use food as a tool for cultural exchange and community building.

1. Interested in cooking, food culture, and community engagement;
2. Enjoys working in a team and supporting daily kitchen activities
3. Responsible and attentive to cleanliness and hygiene standards
4. Open to sharing culinary traditions, recipes, and cultural experiences
5. Creative and willing to contribute ideas for cooking workshops and food-related events
6. No professional cooking experience is required; motivation and willingness to learn are the most important qualities
7. At least B1 English level;
