Description
Description
Our volunteer has three main tasks:
-Conversation sessions. You will run conversation sessions for both teachers and students. This involves preparing conversation topics and working with a group of students and teachers with a broad range of English language skills, and trying to keep them motivated to practise and improve.
-Erasmus programme. With the help of the Erasmus coordinator, you will perform some of the administrative tasks associated with helping our students go abroad for their traineeships. This involves emails, contacting and chasing up companies, following up with students and making sure all the paperwork is done correctly and on time.
-Equality of Opportunities. You will develop presentations and activities for sessions on gender equality during events such as International Women's Day.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
IDEA is the coordinating organisation for this project. They are part of the local council and handle all the practical and financial aspects of the project. Pocket money and expenses allowances currently come to 360 euros per month. This may change, but the volunteer will know the exact amount they will be receiving before coming to Alzira. As IDEA coordinates multiple projects and hosts volunteers in most educational centres in Alzira, you will be sharing a flat with one or two other ESC volunteers. IDEA currently also provides the volunteers with bikes if they need them
Training during the activity
Our school is a vocational training centre: we offer a wide range of courses from Administrative Management to International Trade or Electronics from the age of 18 and older. We give our volunteer the opportunity to enrol informally and take one of our modules (three/ four hours a week) if they wish to do so. IDEA currently also provides the volunteers with Spanish classes at different levels (two-three hours a week).
