Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
As a volunteer, you’ll live in a shared flat with other volunteers—expect an international atmosphere! You’ll live in a double room with a volunteer of the same gender, the kitchen and bathroom are shared with about 4-5 flatmates. All flats have a washing machine, internet access and is equipped with basic kitchen essentials, and fresh towels and bedding. What’s included? 💵 Pocket money (6 EUR/day = roughly 180 EUR/month) + 🍽️ food budget (750 PLN), 🚌 a local transportation card for buses and trams. ✈️ Travel costs are reimbursed based on the ESC distance calculator.
Training during the activity
🗣️🇵🇱 Polish classes are included as part of your volunteering hours—twice a week. Your first week will kick off with training for the whole volunteer group led by a project coordinator, covering flat and safety rules, local culture, expectations from teachers towards volunteers, specifics of working with children and potential challenges, EU and Henner health insurance, and a handy starter Polish vocabulary guide. Plus, On-Arrival and Mid-Term training sessions are scheduled at the start and midpoint of your project.
Participant profile
We are looking for a motivated volunteer who: ✅ Is interested in working with young people and supporting educational and cultural activities. ✅ Is well-organised, responsible, and able to work independently. ✅ Has good English communication skills. ✅ Is motivated to learn Polish and discover Polish culture. ✅ Enjoys teamwork in an international and multicultural environment. ✅ Is proactive, flexible, and comfortable with changing tasks and project needs. ✅ Is interested in communication, social media, photography, video creation, promotion, or event organisation. ✅ Is willing to take initiative and contribute ideas for workshops, activities, and community events. ✅ Has a positive attitude towards living abroad and adapting to new situations. Bonus points if you: 🌟 Have experience in youth work, event planning, workshop facilitation, social media management, photography, videography, or project coordination. 🌟 Feel comfortable taking a leadership role during activities with young people. 🌟 Are interested in arts, culture, intercultural learning, global education, sustainability, or community engagement.
