Description

Join an international team of volunteers making Sofia a greener, more vibrant and inclusive city!
You will help beautify public spaces by painting benches, playgrounds and decorative elements, while taking part in environmental initiatives and clean-up campaigns in Sofia and nearby natural areas.
Volunteers support cultural, educational and community events organised by our foundation and local partners, assisting with logistics, workshops and public activities. You will also help promote the project and European opportunities for young people through social media, photo and video documentation, and local information events.
Throughout the project, you will work in an international environment, develop teamwork, communication, leadership and project management skills, and have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas while creating a positive impact on the local community.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation - a big flat in the heart of Sofia (at Vasil Levski square) will accomodate 6 volunteers- separate floors for male and female participants.
Food - daily allowance - 5 EUR per day, Pocket money - 7 EUR per day.
Sifia city transportation card is issues for each volunteer.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will join a two-days arrival training at the hosting organisation.

Participant profile

We are looking for motivated, open-minded and proactive young people aged 18–30 who are interested in volunteering, community engagement and environmental action. No previous experience is required—only enthusiasm to learn, work in an international team and contribute to the local community.
Volunteers should be willing to participate in outdoor activities, community events and practical tasks, while also supporting communication and dissemination through social media, photography or video. Creativity, responsibility, flexibility and a positive attitude are highly valued.
The project is ideal for participants who want to develop teamwork, communication, leadership and project management skills, experience intercultural learning, and make a meaningful impact while living in Sofia. Basic English is recommended for communication within the international team.
