Colours Daycare 2026-2027 Volunteering

Colours Daycare by Cynthia LTD

Nicosia, Cyprus

Description

Colours is a daycare for children aged 0-3 with a team of dedicated childcare educators based in Nicosia, Cyprus. We believe that learning is an exciting journey that begins at birth. Our mission is to nurture the body, develop the mind, and inspire the soul of every child we serve.

We are looking for motivated individuals (including those with fewer opportunities) to join us for a transformative experience for 2-12 months, starting now (July) and continuing through December 2027. As a volunteer, you will assist our teachers in planning learning activities, setting up learning stations, implementing play-and-learning activities, and supporting our digital marketing and communications.

- Monthly stipend of 400€ for personal expenses and food
- Travel expenses
- Medical insurance coverage (if needed)
- Training, supervision, and mentorship

Training during the activity

Colours provides hands on training throughout the volunteering. Volunteers take part in regular in house workshops led by the educators on early childhood education topics such as sensory play, storytelling, arts and crafts, child development, and health and safety. They also receive an induction on the daycare's routines and safeguarding, ongoing mentoring and on the job guidance in the classroom, and linguistic support in Greek and English to aid their learning and integration.

Participant profile

We are looking for motivated young people aged 18 to 30, including those with fewer opportunities, who are currently living in an EU or EEA country and are ready to join us for a rewarding experience lasting from 2 to 12 months.

You do not need previous experience or formal qualifications, just a genuine interest in working with young children and a willingness to learn. We welcome volunteers who are warm, patient and reliable, creative and hands on, comfortable in a bilingual and multicultural setting, and happy to work as part of a team in a busy early years environment.
As a volunteer, you will assist our educators in planning learning activities, setting up learning stations, and implementing play-and-learning activities for children from birth to 3 years old. Depending on your room and interests, you may create visual aids and learning materials, design role-play corners, or make DIY toys and sensory games from recycled materials. You will also support our daily routines and help with our digital marketing and communications using tools like Canva.

In return, you will gain hands-on experience in early childhood education, develop your creativity, communication, and teamwork skills, participate in regular training, and join a caring team that will support your learning and integration throughout your stay.
