Description

Ready to make a difference while experiencing Europe? As a volunteer with the European Solidarity Corps, you'll join our team to inspire young people to discover the many opportunities that Europe has to offer. You'll share your culture and personal experience to encourage other young people to take part in European mobility programmes. You'll help design educational resources and lead interactive workshops and intercultural activities focused on Europe, active citizenship, and international mobility. You'll also represent the association at local and regional events, such as youth festivals, fairs, and international mobility forums, meeting people from different backgrounds and promoting European opportunities. If you enjoy creating content, you'll contribute to our social media by sharing stories, promoting projects, and highlighting activities and opportunities for young people. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will be accommodated in a shared apartment with another European Solidarity Corps volunteer. Each volunteer will have their own private bedroom. The apartment is located about 15 minutes by bus from Angoulême, a vibrant city known for its rich cultural heritage and its world-famous International Comics Festival. Volunteers will receive a monthly food allowance as well as pocket money in accordance with the European Solidarity Corps programme. To make local travel easy, a bus pass or a bicycle will be provided, allowing volunteers to commute to the association.

Training during the activity

The volunteer will take part in the mandatory training sessions organised by the French National Agency for the European Solidarity Corps, including an On-Arrival Training and a Mid-Term Evaluation.You may have the opportunity to join regional meetings with other European Solidarity Corps volunteers, providing a great chance to share experiences, build connections, and learn from one another.To support their integration, the volunteer will have access to online French language courses through the EU academy plateform. Depending on local opportunities, additional French classes may be offered

Participant profile

We are looking for someone who is: -Interested in European values, active citizenship, and intercultural exchange. -Comfortable speaking in public and interacting with different audiences, especially young people. -Willing to co-facilitate workshops and activities alongside the project coordinator. -Motivated to promote European programmes and international mobility opportunities. -Familiar with social media and basic visual design tools such as Canva. -Previous experience or knowledge of Europe and European programmes is an advantage, but not required. Above all, we are looking for an enthusiastic, open-minded, and curious person who is eager to learn, share their culture, and contribute to inspiring young people to discover Europe and its opportunities.
