Description
We intend to host 2 volunteers for INDIVIDUAL long term project: for maximum 10 months from September 2026, who is legally residing in the Caucasus or Russia. Involved in language education with nonformal methods. Organise and deliver activities for young people aged 12 to 24 years old, Participating in everyday group activities with children, Organising and running handcraft activities with the children and young people, Personal development program for children through different activities like singing, music activities, group games, educational stories, handcraft, relaxing time, Helping in organising different events such as Museums' night, Summer and Winter festivals, Children's day where the volunteers will prepare the materials, organizing group games for children, go with the youngsters on every workshop, making cards, relaxing room, leisure clubs, etc. Working hours: min. 30, max. 38 hours per a week. Saturdays and Sundays are usually free.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will live in rental apartment of the organisation (either sharing a larger room with an other volunteer of the same gender or having a small separate room). For breakfast, dinner and dinner the volunteers receive 50.000 HUF in cash. We will cover 1 international return travel. We will provide 7 EUR/day for pocket money.
Training during the activity
Volunteer will participate in on-arrival and mid-term training organised by Hungarian National Agency. Work related training and guidance will be performed by tutors in the youth work department. Volunteer will participate in online Hungarian language education.
Participant profile
We are looking for 2 motivated volunteers who are legally residing in the Caucasus or Russia and interested in cultural event organisation. Volunteer will work with youth workers and may work with other international volunteers, who will do different activities in the organisation. Age: mid or late twenties, moderate (B1) English AND good social media skills, good communication skills. Able to get on with others who have different cultures. Advantages: - flexibility, - culture lover, - good at handcraft (origami, painting, pottery, decoration etc), - altruist background, - musician, - experience with small scale event organisation, - film making, photography, videography or visual art.
