Find Your Spark: Performing Arts and Circus in Szczecin/Poland
Stowarzyszenie "Europa Iuvenis"
Fundacja Antygrawitacja
Szczecin, Poland
Description
Boredom is not in our vocabulary! Fundacja Antygrawitacja is a vibrant space where circus, theater, and movement meet to inspire youth through creative expression. We offer 3 exciting paths tailored to your strengths: become our Social Media Hero, a Circus Tutor Assistant working with kids, or our Stage Technical support managing lights and props. You don't need to be an expert—we value passion and a proactive mindset above all else!
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
We provide a private spot in a comfortable student house or shared apartment in Szczecin. You will receive monthly pocket money and a food allowance to cover your living costs. We also provide a public transport card and cover 100% of your travel costs to and from the project (up to the EU limit). You will work a maximum of 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Full support with formalities, on Arrival and Mid-Term training from the National Agency, and comprehensive health insurance from Henner are provided.
Training during the activity
During the project you will take part in training courses organized by the National Agency where you will meet volunteers from all over Poland. Besides that you will receive regular trainings in our NGO.
Participant profile
We are looking for creative change-makers with a genuine "spark" and a passion for taking action in a non-formal educational environment. Since our project is defined by a significant amount of freedom, we highly value independence, self-motivation, and the ability to organize your own schedule effectively. We are not looking for someone who waits for instructions at every turn; rather, we are looking for proactive partners who are eager to co-create this space with us. While you do not need years of professional experience, we do require a growth mindset, a knack for creative problem-solving, and a willingness to take on new challenges. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be shaped by the path you choose: Media path: A proactive attitude toward boosting our digital presence through dynamic photography, filming engaging reels/TikToks, and content creation. Circus/Pedagogical path: Openness and enthusiasm for supporting instructors during workshops for children. No fluent Polish is required, but you should be eager to learn basic phrases to connect with the kids. Technical path: A hands-on, tech-savvy attitude to assist with stage lighting, sound setups, and scenery creation. Crucially, we want volunteers who are ready to grow. We actively encourage you to pursue your own training, practice your artistic skills, and realize your own independent project ideas or workshops during your time with us!
