Green lifestyle and creativity in Latvia
LATVIJAS PIRMĀS PALĪDZĪBAS VIENĪBA
Liepāja, Latvia
Description
The ESC volunteer activity focuses on promoting a sustainable, green lifestyle by upcycling and creatively repurposing materials such as donated clothes, paper, and cardboard collected by the organization. While some donations are redistributed to local individuals, unused items often accumulate and take up space. This activity encourages volunteer to use these materials to create innovative, eco-friendly items, such as toys to donate to children in need, art pieces, educational games, or instructional videos showcasing DIY projects. By creatively upcycling unused materials, volunteer will learn about sustainable practices and share these values with the wider community. The initiative also supports social inclusion by providing items like toys and educational resources to those in need. The volunteers actively contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable world, embodying solidarity by creating public awareness around recycling and responsible consumption.
