Description

ArtWeek Aruba 2026 is a week-long cultural festival held in San Nicolas, the Art Capital of the Caribbean. Under the theme “Nature × Mankind: Shape, Shift, Sustain,” it celebrates creativity, sustainability, and intercultural exchange through workshops, exhibitions, public art, and cultural events. Volunteers play a key role before and during ArtWeek and the Aruba Mural Festival by preparing materials, setting up venues, supporting logistics, and managing social media content to ensure effective communication and a vibrant online presence. They will also assist with the smooth running of activities and help create a welcoming experience for artists and visitors. Be prepared for physical work under the tropical sun! Every volunteer's contribution is essential to making the festival a memorable and inspiring experience for everyone.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Located in Pos Chiquito (10 mins from San Nicolas), Cas Azul is the house dedicated to the team projects. It’s really big and can accommodate a maximum of 14 people (sometimes even more...). Pillows, beddings, towels, kitchen utensils, diving masks are provided with the house. We will have a dedicated person to drive you to and from your workplaces with the van. In addition to the scheduled lunches and dinners at ArtisA, you will have a shared card for the grocery. It will be your responsibility to manage the grocery list according to your preferences and the available budget.

Participant profile

We are looking for motivated, open-minded, and proactive young people who are interested in art, culture, and community engagement. Participants should enjoy teamwork, be willing to contribute to practical tasks, and feel comfortable working outdoors in a tropical environment. No artistic background is required, but creativity, adaptability, and a positive attitude are essential. They should be eager to discover new cultures, collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds, and use art as a tool for social impact. This project is ideal for participants who want to develop their intercultural, communication, and teamwork skills while making a meaningful contribution to the local community.
