My Green University 3.0 (14 DAYS TEAM VOLUNTEERING)

Description
BUT invites young people to join the 3-rd edition of its Group Volunteering Project, organized within the framework of the ESC. For 14 days, volunteers will become part of an international team working together to promote sustainability, environmental protection, and active citizenship. Throughout the project, participants will take part in introductory training sessions and workshops. They will also co-create educational and promotional materials encouraging eco-friendly attitudes and raising awareness of sustainable lifestyles. A key highlight of the project will be the greening of the BUT campus. Together with BUT students and local community, volunteers will enhance green spaces by planting vegetation and building functional outdoor furniture from recycled wooden pallets. These activities wilcontribute to creating a more attractive, sustainable, and environmentally friendly university. Each group will consist of 15 young volunteers, offering participants an excellent opportunity
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will be accommodated in a dormitory located on the campus of BUT. Double rooms with access to shared bathrooms and kitchen will be reserved. You'll live with other volunteers in a safe&comfortable environment. The dormitory is equipped with kitchen utensils and internet access. Volunteers will receive: €6/per day (pocket money), €12/per day as (food allowance) Travel expenses will be paid based on tickets presented upon arrival
Training during the activity
Before arriving, volunteers will participate in an online preparatory meeting introducing the project objectives, activities and roles. During the mobility, they will attend introductory workshops on sustainable development, environmental protection, teamwork, and health and safety. Volunteers will be involved in 2 main activities: 1. Enhancing the green spaces of the BUT campus by planting greenery and creating outdoor furniture from recycled wooden pallets; 2. Developing educational and promotional materials that encourage pro-environmental attitudes and promote sustainable development
Participant profile
Volunteers participating in the program should have the following qualifications: 1. open-mindedness, cultural involvement, creativity and proactivity; 2. teamwork orientation, responsibility and openness to new experiences; 3. english language skills sufficient for effective communication; 4. solution-oriented, tolerant, organized and ready to follow organizational rules; 5. openness to learning, training and new experiences. Special interests and experiences: 1. interest in environmental protection; 2. openness to participate in outreach and promotional activities, sharing their experiences and promoting the idea of volunteering (volunteers are encouraged to cooperate according to their skills and abilities); 3. openness to work in Canva.
