Description

The Volunteer will support our Regional Office for West and Central Africa, by drafting quality project proposals, supporting the coordination of contributions from country and regional teams and the follow-up of communications with donors, contributing to the preparation of narrative reports and maintenance of grant management tools, participate in the capitalization of knowledge, documentation archiving and dissemination of donor requirements, producing dashboards and summaries for monitoring the regional project portfolio. You will join our teams and have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in a well-recognized international organization dedicated to the fight against hunger, gaining first-hand experience of humanitarian action, life in the field, and high-impact interventions.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

We cover your accommodation, travel, visa, medical checkup and vaccinations costs, and you will be provided with monthly pocket money for your free time and personal hygiene. During the deployment you will be provided with a laptop and phone of the organization to ensure the means to carry out the activities. In case of belonging to one of the Fewer Opportunities categories (please, check the details with the organization) additional inclusion measures and benefits will be applied. Please note that the total amount of ESC Volunteering cannot exceed 12 months overall.

Training during the activity

During the deployment you will have access to the full catalog of training courses offered on ACF Virtual Campus and will have the opportunity to benefit from additional external courses.

Participant profile

You have a university degree in project management, international relations, development, social sciences or related field, excellent written and oral skills in French and English, good knowledge of the humanitarian project cycle and the requirements of the main institutional donors (ECHO, FCDO, BHA, EU, UN agencies, etc.). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Skills in analysis, synthesis and multi-stakeholder coordination are an asset together with attention to details, autonomy and ability to work in a multicultural environment and under deadline constraints.
