Description
This mission is carried out by Concordia in partnership with the EIC high school which is part of a large non profit school organization. One of the specificities of EIC high school is a third place called the CUBE that includes several floors with a fablab or one dedicated to audiovisual sector. The volunteer can be offered assignments on a variety of themes (international mobility, European citizenship, digital education, solidarity, etc.), depending on current activities at the facility and the wishes of the volunteer. Missions can be the following : helping to welcome European and international partners ; promoting European Mobility, Participating in the Europe & International Commission of the City of Tourcoing ; Proposing and leading activities focused on Europe and interculturality, Organizing Europe Week, Leading media workshop and supporting digital education activities, Organizing cultural events, implementing solidarity projects and actions that promote personal development.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The school provides a furnished apartment in a student residence with shared spaces such as a gym, music room, and metro/bus acces nearby. The volunteers will receive an allowance for food (9 euros per day) and pocket money (8 euros per day). Lunch at school is provided during school days (no meal service during school holidays).
Training during the activity
In addition to these missions, the volunteer can take part in courses according to his or her interests, and dedicate time to personal projects and language learning.
Participant profile
We are looking for a person who is passionate about the themes of the mission, eager to work in a team while taking initiatives and able lead personal projects during the mission. The volunteer must also be able to interact with a group of young people and communicate ideas to an audience.
