Youth Volunteering for Inclusion, Education and European Solidarity at CEIP Vall de la Casella

CEIP Vall de la Casella

Alzira, Spain

Description

CEIP Vall de la Casella is looking for a motivated European Solidarity Corps volunteer to join our educational community in Alzira for a period of nine months. The volunteer will become an active member of the school team, supporting the daily activities of the educational centre and contributing to a positive, inclusive and multicultural learning environment. The aim of the project is to promote European values, intercultural exchange and solidarity through education and community participation. During the volunteering period, the volunteer will collaborate with teachers and school staff in different areas of the school’s daily life, providing support to students and contributing with their own ideas, skills and cultural background.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The accommodation is covered by the coordinating organization (The Local Development Agency of Alzira). The volunteer will share a fully-equipped flat with other participants and will have their own bedroom. The volunteer receives a fixed amount of a monthly support allowance and pocket money (180 and 150 Euros).

Training during the activity

The volunteer will participate in the on-arrival and mid-term trainings by the Spanish National Agency. In addition, the participant will have the opportunity to learn Spanish thanks to the daily interaction with teachers and school staff.

Participant profile

We are looking for an outgoing young person between 18 to 30 years old who is interested in the field of youth, European values and policies. The applicant must demonstrate a working level of English, and should not have taken part in other European Solidarity Corps activities longer than 2 months. Our school promotes inclusive education, equal opportunities, creativity and active participation. We believe that international experiences enrich our students’ learning process and help build a more open and European-minded community. We welcome volunteers who want to share their culture, ideas and enthusiasm while contributing to the everyday life of our school.
