Description
We are looking for 4 new volunteers. The volunteers will have the opportunity to set up and lead various workshops about Europe, their country, their culture, but also creative and artistic workshops. They will also work with the target group (children, the elderly, families) on various projects :
- Setting up workshops to support children and young people in the development of their skills
- Implementing various intercultural workshops for parents and young people
- Set up workshops with elderly, especially related to health and sport
- Organize information meetings on existing educational mobility schemes for young people
- Organize testimonial and experience-sharing events related to European and international mobility
Also, time will be reserved for the volunteers to give them room to think about their future projects and analyze the needs of the local communities and public that they have observed. They will thus have the opportunity to propose new activities or events.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
In collocation in a 4-bedroom apartment located in the capital city for free. Accessible with bus from the places of activities and office of the organisation. Close to transport routes and there is the possibility of walking to various administrative departments, shops, boutiques, pharmacies and others. In addition to the pocket money given each month to the volunteers (8€/day), a monthly allowance will be given in order for them to pay for their food. Also, The hosting organisation will give volunteers monthly subscription to local transports for the Center of Martinique.
Training during the activity
Participant profile
Motivated, passionate and curious volunteers. They must have a real interest in the different audiences, a natural attraction for social animation, whether children or adults and seniors and an ease of a technical support, digital skills. It goes without saying that depending on the volunteers, it is possible to adjust the tasks they will be able to perform or not.
Also, it would be a bonus for those that are interested by learning our regional language "Creole" but it is not a reason for refusing an application. We want them to have the will to introduce our audiences to their mother tongues.
