Description

Kiosk is the Youth Information Centre of Saint-Lô Agglo. It supports young people aged 11 to 30 by providing information, guidance and opportunities to develop their projects. As a European Solidarity Corps volunteer, you will join the team and promote European citizenship and international mobility. You will help organise youth activities, support young people’s initiatives, take part in local events, and contribute to solidarity actions, including support for a student food aid programme. You will also have the opportunity to share your culture, language and experiences with young people and local partners.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will be hosted in Saint-Lô, Normandy (France). The European Solidarity Corps covers travel costs (round trip), accommodation, health insurance, local transportation, and provides a monthly allowance for food and personal expenses. Accommodation is in a furnished apartment with Wi-Fi at the Rabelais Young Workers’ Residence. Volunteers may apply for CAF housing support if eligible, with assistance from the hosting team. They will also have free access to the EU Online Language Support (OLS) platform.

Training during the activity

The volunteer will benefit from continuous learning opportunities throughout the project. A tutor will provide regular guidance and support to help them develop their skills and achieve their personal objectives. The volunteer will take part in the compulsory ESC training sessions (On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term Evaluation) and will gain practical experience in youth work, information services, event organisation, communication, European citizenship and international mobility. Participant profile

We are looking for a motivated young person aged 18 to 30, eligible for the European Solidarity Corps programme. The volunteer should enjoy working with young people, feel comfortable interacting with different audiences and have an interest in facilitating activities and workshops.
An interest in Europe, intercultural learning and international mobility is essential. We welcome candidates who are curious, open-minded and willing to share their ideas. Initiative, creativity and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are important qualities for this project.
The volunteer should also be comfortable using digital tools and social media. Previous experience is not required; motivation, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are the most important criteria.
