ASSOCIACAO INTERCULTURAL PARA TODOS

Barcelos, Portugal

Description

You will join local activities, support IAFA’s work, share ideas, learn new skills, and become part of an international team. It’s the perfect opportunity to step out of your comfort zone, connect with the community, and create unforgettable memories along the way.

Duration: 120 days

Start date: 15.09.2026 (latest)

Volunteers will have following roles:

  • Manage the association’s social media channels by creating content, sharing updates and promoting activities and events.
  • Support the team with daily office tasks, activity planning and organisational work.
  • Take part in social and community-based activities in Barcelos, including working with disadvantaged groups and supporting workshops or events.
  • Participate in cultural and intercultural activities, discover Portuguese culture and share your own culture.
  • Contribute your ideas, take initiative and develop your communication, teamwork, digital and organisational skills.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will be accommodated in shared houses together with other participants, providing a comfortable and social living environment. A food allowance will be provided to cover daily meal expenses. Local transportation related to project activities will be organized by the hosting organization using its own vehicle.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will take part in an onboarding programme at the beginning of the activity, including an introduction to the host organisation, the local context, and the weekly plan. Throughout the project, they will receive non-formal learning sessions. They will also be introduced to the Youthpass process and supported in reflecting on their learning outcomes during the project.
