Description

CCIF Cyprus invites five young people to join a long-term European Solidarity Corps volunteering experience in Paphos, Cyprus. The activity will prioritise young people with fewer opportunities, including NEETs, young people from low-income or migrant backgrounds.

Through intercultural activities, community events and awareness campaigns, volunteers will promote solidarity, equality, inclusion, tolerance and respect for diversity. The project will empower young people to challenge stereotypes, strengthen their sense of European belonging and become active promoters of EU values within their communities.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

International volunteers stay in our safe and fully equipped apartment of 2 shared double bedrooms in Paphos. They share rooms with access to shared kitchen, living areas, bathroom facilities, and internet connection.

All volunteers receive a monthly food allowance and monthly pocket money.

When project activities require travel outside the city, transport will be arranged

Travel expenses to and from Cyprus based on Erasmus+ distance calculator.

Volunteers must have their European Health Insurance Card

Training during the activity

Volunteers benefit from a comprehensive training and learning cycle designed to support their personal growth, skills development and positive contribution to the project. Before departure, sending or supporting organisation provides cultural preparation and information about ESC, rights, responsibilities, health and safety. Participate in training facilitated by the National Agency. Throughout the placement, volunteers receive task-specific guidance, language support, regular mentoring, Youthpass reflection and follow-up support to assess their progress and competences acquired.

Participant profile

Young people aged 18–30, motivated to engage in solidarity, learning, and community work, regardless of their educational or professional background. Passionate about about youth empowerment and social change. 

Committed to building connections and working in a team, engaged with young people, facilitate discussions and share information effectively.

Interested in helping peers navigate opportunities, build confidence and create connections with stakeholders.

Motivated to assist in project management, daily work of the organisation, planning events, coordinating activities, and managing time efficiently.

Creative to develop engaging content and use online platforms to spread awareness.
