Description

Next Re-Generation Vol. VI is a 45-day European Solidarity Corps volunteering project hosted by COB’s Permaculture Educational Center and Intentional Eco-Community in rural Greece. We are looking for 2 motivated volunteers (18–30 years old) to join our community from 15 September to 30 October 2026.

Volunteers will participate in regenerative agriculture, food forest management, natural building, off-grid living, shared cooking, community life and educational activities, while developing practical skills through learning by doing. They will also contribute to workshops, support our Forest School and Community Café, and help prepare an international Erasmus+ Youth Exchange.

This experience is ideal for young people who are curious about sustainable living, community, ecological practices and personal growth. Accommodation, food, pocket money, insurance and travel reimbursement are provided through the European Solidarity Corps.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will stay in shared rooms (2-4 people) at COB’s off-grid Permaculture Educational Center and intentional eco-community in rural Greece. Three healthy plant-based meals are shared every day and prepared collectively using seasonal, local and garden-grown ingredients. Compost toilets, hot showers and shared facilities are available. Local transport for project activities is provided, while international travel costs are reimbursed according to ESC rules upon submission of the required travel documents. Pocket money is provided according to ESC regulations.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will learn through hands-on experience, mentoring and non-formal education while participating in regenerative agriculture, natural building, food forest management, off-grid living and community life. They will support workshops, the Forest School, the Rizes Community Café, a Farm-to-Fork stakeholder forum on sustainable food systems, and an international Erasmus+ Youth Exchange, while developing practical, interpersonal and organisational skills. Each volunteer will receive continuous mentoring and complete a Youthpass certificate to reflect on their learning outcomes.

Participant profile

We are looking for motivated young people (18–30) with a genuine interest in sustainability, regenerative living and community life. Previous experience is welcome but not required. Curiosity, responsibility and a willingness to learn are what matter most. Volunteers should be open-minded, respectful and proactive, enjoy learning by doing and be comfortable with shared living, simple off-grid conditions and daily physical work. They are expected to contribute to community responsibilities such as cooking, cleaning and caring for shared spaces, communicate openly and work both independently and as part of a team. Emotional maturity, adaptability and commitment to the full duration of the project are essential.
