Description
This long-term ESC project welcomes young people who are curious, motivated and interested in developing themselves through creativity, community engagement and non-formal education. No professional artistic background is required but candidates should be open, take initiative and have willingness to learn, experiment, connect with partners and contribute. The project is particularly suited to dancers, performers, storytellers, filmmakers, photographers, writers, musicians, visual creators, aspiring cultural workers and socially engaged young people etc who see creativity as a tool for dialogue and transformation. Volunteers will join a youth-led environment where art, community and social impact meet. They will contribute to making culture and learning accessible, encouraging participation and strengthening dialogue across different backgrounds. The organisation's work focuses on social inclusion, peacebuilding, gender equality, socially engaged arts & youth empowerment.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
- A shared house in the heart of Nicosia, within walking distance of cafés, supermarkets, public transport. You may be asked to share a bedroom with another volunteer.
- Costs from your place of residence to Cyprus & back will be reimbursed in accordance to distance band. Reimbursement upon submission of required travel documents for eligible costs.
- You will be provided with a fully functionable bicycle (including helmet, safety chain).
- Total of €400 Monthly for pocket money & personal expenses (payments at the end of each month).
- Language Support: Upon request (English/Greek/Turkish)
Training during the activity
Volunteers will have access to ongoing learning and training opportunities provided by YEU Cyprus, our partner organisations, local stakeholders and other NGOs. Throughout they will receive regular supervision, guidance and mentorship from YEU Cyprus. They will be encouraged to take initiative and develop their own ideas and personal projects, while also contributing to group activities and responding to the organisation’s evolving needs and projects. Our approach is based on learning by doing therefore be ready to try new things and take responsibility.

We are looking for volunteers to join YEU Cyprus who are curious, open-minded, and motivated to contribute to their local community while learning from others. You don't need to be an expert, we value your willingness to learn, collaborate, and take initiative and to be humble.
