Description

To support relations with international cooperation organisations by identifying and managing projects, partnerships, technical and financial reports. To strengthen the sustainability of TECHO Honduras through strategic coordination and the fulfilment of commitments to donors, thereby contributing to the organisation’s institutional standing.

Main responsibilities: To identify opportunities for international cooperation in line with TECHO’s institutional objectives; to formulate and coordinate project proposals for submission to cooperation agencies, multilateral organisations, foundations and embassies; to ensure compliance with the technical, financial and reporting requirements of projects funded by international cooperation; coordinate with internal departments (Administration, Communications, etc.) to ensure the proper implementation and reporting of projects; provide support to ensure compliance with local regulations relating to international cooperation.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The project is financed by the EU and has the following conditions: -A monthly allowance of 700 EUR is provided to volunteer for covering basic needs. -The accommodation, visa fees, return flights, vaccination costs, the health insurance, basic equipment (laptop and mobile phone) and the expenses related to transportation will be covered by the programme; -For each month of voluntary activity 2 days of holidays are provided.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will receive briefings by MdM and TECHO at MdM HQ in Madrid, as well as a mandatory online training on environmental issues before they start their field work. Training sessions will take place both in the countries of the support and host organisations. They will be part of a multidisciplinary team where they will gain knowledge about other professions and the national context. They will learn about the characteristics of poverty and inequality from a human rights perspective, as well as foster their leadership.

Participant profile

 Education: Professional with a degree in International Relations, Political Science, International Business, or related fields.

● Languages: Spanish and English desirable.

● Software (desirable):

○ Management of Microsoft Office tools, for data processing and information analysis.

○ Design tools such as Canva.

○ Knowledge in Salesforce.

● Competencies:

○ Knowledge on Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals.

○ Experience in analysing and synthesising information, writing skills in the preparation and presentation of documents.

○ Project management.

Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
