VolunTACC – Communicating Culture involves one international volunteer who will support the communication area of the Museu d’Història de la Immigració de Catalunya (MhiC), a cultural service managed by TACC. 

The volunteer will contribute to digital communication, graphic design, and multimedia creation, developing visual and digital content for social media, websites, cultural campaigns and activities. 

The project will promote culture, inclusion, accessibility and intercultural dialogue, using communication and creativity as tools to connect cultural heritage with diverse audiences. 

The volunteer will work mainly at the MhiC in Sant Adrià de Besòs and will also have the opportunity to participate in multimedia projects and sociocultural initiatives organised by TACC.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

*Accommodation: volunteers will live in shared apartments located in municipalities around Barcelona. 

*Food: volunteers will receive 5,33 €/day for food.

*Pocket Money: volunteers will receive a pocket money of 6 €/day.

*Travel costs: volunteers' international travel costs will be paid from the project budget according to the programme distance calculator.

*Local Transport: volunteers will receive a monthly "local transport money".

*Insurance: volunteers will be covered by EHIC and HENNER insurance.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will participate in on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation provided by the National Agency in Spain. Moreover, they will be provided with an online SPANISH language course through EuAcademy. They will have the possibility to participate in workshops of conversational Spanish and to engage in Catalan language training organized by TACC or other associations/institutions of the local community.

Participant profile

We are looking for an open-minded, creative and proactive young person with an interest in digital communication, graphic design and multimedia content creation. The volunteer should be familiar with design and digital tools and motivated to create visual, audiovisual and digital content for social media, websites, cultural activities and campaigns. Creativity, initiative, communication skills and an interest in culture, diversity and accessible communication will be highly valued. Other skills: At least an intermediate level of Spanish is required to work effectively within the museum and interact with local audiences and communities.
