ActionAid Spain works to promote active citizenship that challenges inequalities and defends human rights. Through international cooperation, humanitarian action and advocacy, we strive to advance gender justice, migrants' rights and climate justice. Join our team at our headquarters in Madrid and contribute to meaningful social change. The volunteer will support the administrative, accounting and office management activities of the Madrid office, contributing to the smooth day-to-day functioning of the organisation. At the same time, this role offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience, develop professional skills and strengthen competencies in administration, office management and organisational support within an international non-profit environment.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You will have the opportunity to live together with other volunteers of different nationalities in a shared flat. The accommodation costs and utility bills will be covered by the hosting organization and free Wi-fi will be provided. You will receive a monthly pocket money for your personal expenses and food and local transport allowance each month, you will also have a health insurance (Henner).
Training during the activity
The volunteer will receive training on: ActionAid, ESC, Youthpass, Henner, cultural immersion, etc. In addition, you will participate in two Spanish National Agency trainings together with other international volunteers in Spain. In case language support is needed, the volunteer will have free access to online language training.The volunteer will receive an initial induction. Practical training will be provided on the administrative tasks they will carry out, the use of digital tools and internal management and organisational procedures.
Participant profile
We are looking for a motivated and organised volunteer with an interest in administration, office management and organisational support. Studies in Business Administration, Administrative Management, International Relations, Development Cooperation or related fields are desirable, although candidates from other relevant backgrounds are also encouraged to apply. Previous professional experience is not required. Any experience gained through volunteering, internships, academic projects or administrative support activities will be considered an asset. The volunteer should have a good command of Spanish and English, as well as basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications. We value proactive, reliable and team-oriented individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to a multicultural working environment.
