Description
"House for All" (Maison Pour Tous) is a dynamic community hub serving the residents of Saint Jean de la Ruelle. Its primary focus is on supporting those in priority neighborhoods, while fostering inclusivity and social diversity. The organization welcome individuals and families, promoting the growth of social and familial connections. Its mission is to create a vibrant, engaging space where people of all ages, especially young people, can come together and thrive. MISSION Support and engage young people aged 11 to 15 through the Pass’Ados program. Organise and animate workshops and events (culture, sport, environment...). They love doing sport ! Promote participation and collective life skills among young people. Strengthen educational links between primary and middle school students. Contribute to positive relationships and communication with families. Involve young people in the selection and preparation of activities, while encouraging autonomy and responsibility
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
LOCATION During your mission you’ll be living in the city center of Orléans (approx 25-30 min from your working place by bus).You will live in a shared flat of 8 people max (shared kitchen and living room) with individual room and bathroom. SCHEDULE You will work from Monday to Friday 30 hours a week. Orléans is 1 hour train ride away from Paris. FOOD AND POCKET MONEY You will receive 480€ per month (240€ for pocket money, 240€ for food) TRAVEL REFUND You will be refunded 100% of your travel costs up to a certain limit
Training during the activity
You will participate in training courses organized by the Erasmus+ Youth Agency. Generally one at the beggining and one in the middle of the volunteering.
There will be one other european volunteer in Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle (but not in the same place), who will also live in the same flat as you.
Participant profile
Being eager to learn and work on project activities with people in a non formal education context. You should be able to take initiatives, put forward suggestions concerning activities for young people. It will be appreciated if you already speak a minimum of French at the beginning of the mission but it is not mandatory. You will create workshops for young people with the staff or partners so you should be able to share yours ideas and respect each other.
