Description
Would you like to help create engaging content for young people? Do you want to make it possible for more young people to discover and take part in our youth centres and activities?
As a volunteer at Fryshuset, you will work across all five of our operations, helping to develop and strengthen our social media concept and online presence. You will contribute to creating photos, videos, stories and other content that showcases what happens at Fryshuset and inspires young people to get involved.
You will be part of Fryshuset’s international volunteer group, together with other ESC volunteers from different countries and backgrounds. You will have opportunities to collaborate. An important part of your role will also be promoting international mobility opportunities, helping young people discover opportunities such as volunteering, exchanges and other ways to go abroad and gain new experiences.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Participation in the project is fully covered by the European Solidarity Corps programme. Volunteers receive 4500 SEK per month as pocket and food money, as well as an SL public transport travel card. A private room in a shared accommodation is provided for participants coming from outside the city of activity. In case the participant already lives in Stockholm, financial compensation for accommodation is provided instead.
Training during the activity
You will participate in two mandatory trainings organised by the Swedish National Agency: on-arrival and mid-term trainings. Also, there will be an online Swedish course available for the volunteers.
Participant profile
Do you have an interest in and want to develop your content creation skills on social media? Do you enjoy that something different happens every day? Do you enjoy working with young people aged 13–19?
We are looking for a creative, curious and open-minded person who enjoys trying new things and developing their skills. You should be interested in social media, photography, video, storytelling or communication and be motivated to learn along the way.
